I’m Kalea Luna, an independent country songwriter, trucking safety advocate, and creator of Operation Shared Roads: The Shared Roads Academy.
My music is inspired by real life, the people who work behind the wheel, the families waiting at home, the strength it takes to survive difficult chapters, and the hope that keeps us moving forward. I write traditional and modern country songs about trucking, love, resilience, family, domestic violence survival, and everyday people whose stories deserve to be heard.
As the wife of a professional truck driver, I have also seen how misunderstandings between passenger vehicles and commercial trucks can create dangerous situations on our highways. That experience led me to create Operation Shared Roads: The Shared Roads Academy, a supplemental driver-education program designed to help new and experienced motorists better understand how to safely share the road with semi-trucks and other large commercial vehicles.
I am a former volunteer firefighter and EMT, a domestic violence survivor, and a proud BMI songwriter. Although physical disabilities prevent me from performing live, they have never stopped me from creating. I use songwriting, education, and advocacy to turn difficult experiences into something that can encourage others, improve road safety, and make people feel less alone.
Whether I am writing a song, developing a lesson, or sharing the realities of life in the trucking community, my goal is the same: to create meaningful work that informs, connects, and leaves a positive impact.
